National Pretzel Day is Thursday, April 26 and that begs some very important questions: How are the pretzels at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas so perfectly shaped, so authentic in taste and so darn good?
Well, it’s time we let you in on the secret.
We opened our doors here in Las Vegas in January 2004 and have always been dedicated to serving authentic Bavarian brews and bites. When our friend and Prop & Peller owner and founder, Claudia Maria Hillmeier, came to town it was a match made in Bavarian heaven.
A German native, Claudia always felt the pretzels she had in the U.S. tasted like cardboard – even on her visits here as a child. So, she decided to import Bavarian pretzels straight from Germany so that Americans could also experience the taste of delicious pretzels just as they’re made in the Old Country. Prop & Peller Pretzels was born and Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas was the very first customer. We were, and still are, proud to be the first to serve original Bavarian pretzels at our Haus here in Las Vegas.
Prop & Peller Pretzels are crafted from the highest-quality dough, made from the finest, hand-selected ingredients, imported, and collected from the best sources around the globe. The Prop & Peller pretzel-making process is no small feat. Once the ingredients are mixed together, the four-hour meticulous baking begins. The result is an authentic supremely fluffy, exceptionally crunchy, perfectly cracked, baked work of art. While Prop & Peller now serves clients all over the United States, we’re proud to say our Haus was the first.
Enjoy the authentic and delicious imported pretzels served with Obatzda, Beer cheese, sweet mustard or onion mustard. Pair your pretzel with a beer, whether it be blond, dark, light or bold, all beers at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas are wholesome and delicious, and only feature barley, hops, yeast and water.
See you at the Haus this Thursday, April 26 for National Pretzel Day.
Prost!
